The Franklin A. Butts Research Library is the non-circulating section of the DCHS collections. It is open to the public year round as follows:
Tuesday through Friday
10am to 3pm
Sat. Sun. Mon. Closed
There is a fee of $20. for non-members
Photocopy machine is available; .25 per page for non-members, .15.for members.
Emphasis in collecting is given to Dutchess County materials, but the library also holds materials from New York State, Ulster and Putnam Counties.
Putnam was a part of Dutchess until 1812 and there were early migrations from Ulster County to Dutchess.
