Volunteer Opportunities

DCHS has worked for over 93 years to preserve and celebrate the county’s heritage through its programs, publications and educational outreach and volunteers have always been an integral part of this important work.

DCHS offers volunteer opportunities to people who have an interest in Dutchess County’s past or who want to offer their time and talents in a variety of areas. Tasks include Glebe House interpretation, collections care assistance, editorial and clerical help, data entry and Silver Ribbon Tour docent help. Volunteers can be retired citizens, young people, full time working people who volunteer for specific events, people who wish to learn new skills or any one wishing to make a contribution to the community.
